A former team captain, Ashton brings a strong athletic background to everything he does — highlighted by his role on a men's lacrosse team that finished as a national championship runner-up. He's recognized for his leadership, communication, and ability to work effectively in team environments.

Alongside his athletic career, Ashton earned multiple academic honors, including several semesters on the Dean's List and President's List and recognition as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Management, Coaching, Exercise, and Sports Science in 2025 and is currently pursuing his MBA.
